Apple shelved two unreleased Mac Pro models before discontinuing the product line, including versions featuring Intel processors and custom "M2 Extreme" and "M3 Extreme" chips that would have significantly outperformed the Mac Studio. The company's abandoned plans reportedly included a high-end configuration designed to be vastly more powerful than existing professional Mac offerings. Apple has begun piloting AI-powered features like "Live Notes" at its Genius Bar locations, signaling the company's shift in focus away from the Mac Pro segment.
