Apple introduced several new emoji characters in iOS 26.4 Beta 4, released in early March 2026. The update added depictions of Bigfoot, an orca whale, a trombone, and five additional emoji designs to the platform. The emoji rollout followed weeks of beta testing that began in mid-February, with Apple releasing successive beta versions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS 26.4 across the development cycle.
