Apple is developing an iPhone with dual-battery technology, according to code discovered in iOS 27 beta 4 released July 20. References to multiple battery configurations in the operating system suggest the company is exploring the feature for an upcoming model. However, some analysts cautioned the code references may not necessarily indicate a dual-battery iPhone, speculating instead they could relate to other projects like a foldable device. Apple has not officially confirmed plans for such a device.
